Cannot Even Run Program

I have installed the 64bit version as per my system. I can launch the program, but the second I try to do ANYTHING with it, it crashes. And when I say "crashes" I mean every time! I don't know what further information to provide since this problem may very well be the effect of a million causes. Can anyone please advise? Thank you in advance.
