Bulk Rename Utility

I have a file renaming problem and I was wondering if this utility will solve it for me. I regularly load a large number of files (>100) off of a camera on to my computer (WINXP) and I need to rename them to reflect the subject rather than the numeric name from the camera. I have the names that I want to use in a spreadsheet. Will BRU automate task of taking the names from the spreadsheet and using them to rename the photo files? TIA

Hi gvocks,

Not from a spreadsheet, but from a plain-text file (pipe-delimited). This was introduced in a recent release. So, if you have a file containing

OldName1|NewName1
OldName2|NewName2
OldName3|NewName3

etc, you can then load this file into BRU and it will rename the files according to your list.
