Can't get authorization to change file names on ext.drive

Postby DJdaniel » Fri Feb 05, 2010 10:39 am

I am running BRU 64-bit Vista\Win7 version on a Vista 64-bit laptop. Getting "error access" message. It'll change the files names, but won't save them. I read where I could add an .reg file and change ownership. I also have the update for Win7 64-bit, ready to install. Would this fix anything without a .reg file, or will the same problem exist? Or can I change these parameters on my ext. drive without screwing with the resgistry?

Guess I figured out my own question. I did find a way to make the drive accessible. Went to Properties\Security\Permissions, then chose a couple users, including admin, and checked it so that I could make any changes to the folders. Changed the entire drive (at top of tree) at once. Now it works fine without installing the registry change file.
