URGENT- Access denied to FOLDERS

Postby SteelLady » Thu Feb 18, 2010 10:55 pm

We are trying to save data of our laptop and I we have problem with long names inside many different folders. So I try to use Bulk Rename but it only copies all the files all together, not wanting to copy any folders but instead displays their names and says: access denied. How can I copy folders and leave files inside them, so I would have the same tree as the original one? I tried to copy just 1 empty folder but the same thing happens. Please, it is very urgent! Thank you!!!

BTW, I am using XP...

And I only have this problem if I choose the option 'copy not move'

within the same disk (c:)

When I try to write it to another disk or partition, it doesn't even want to move it there!

Also, it does not have the option to make a short name. For eg. I want it to leave just first 20 chars of the name.

Please, am I not understanding something or this is some bug?

1- open Windows Explorer
2- go to the top-most folder
3- select this folder and press Ctrl+C
4- go to your other path and press Ctrl+V
