Removing accented characters

I have always been very impressed with BRU's capabilities, but now there is something that does not seem to work. Or may be I am not getting it....

I need check a large number of files and folders (over 20 000 in a folder structure) for any accented characters, and replace any such character with it's non-accented cousin.

BRU seems to have this Character Translations option, but I can't get it to do anything?

Someone out there who can help me, please?

The rule
Remove(5) [X]Accents should help.

Doesn't it?
