Error Code: directory or file cannot be created

I had a batch rename of 50000 plus .dpx files located on a fat32 formatted 1.5TB volume separate from the xp system volume. the bulk rename utility was cooking along fine and had renamed 7324 files of the 50000 when it came up with this error code. "Error Code": The directory or file cannot be created. Any thoughts?

Most probably a file permission issue. thanks
