Date Taken and Win 7

Postby bruce1947 » Mon Jun 14, 2010 8:49 am

I have just bought a new computer which uses Windows 7, with my old XP computer I used to be able to change the name and add the 'Taken' date to the Photo's name. This facility doesn't seem to work in Win 7 the date is blank yet the photos still has the date recorded because other programs can see it. Is there something I need to amend in Windows 7?

I read the FAQ about showing EXIF data and ticked that and pressed F5 but still nothing in the Taken column.

I am using the same camera as I used on my older XP computer.

Am using version 2.7.0.1

Any ideas?

In version 2.7.1.1 the ability to take a date take was ok.

In version 2.7.1.2 are:

===
Version 2.7.1.2 released on 20 June 2010
+ Correctly extract "Date Taken" field is edited pictures and 7 on Windows Vista.

Despite the release .2 inform you that this problem was corrected in Windows 7 actually stopped working ... interessandar is to review this part.

Ok I found the solution. RTFM ...

But ....

One suggestion:

Leave this option as the default. INI setup. I believe that a smaller amount of users will have trouble.

Extract Exif Data=1

Thanks for the great program!
