Re-Naming files Within Folders

Postby RBGH » Mon Feb 28, 2011 12:42 pm

Hi,

I am new to using the Bulk Rename Utility and had a quick question...

Is it possible to select a number of folders and rename the contains, without having to open each individual folder?

Cheers

I think not since BRU will rename only the selected files... so they have to be in view.
Which is not the case if you see the folders only instead of the content.

Yes, check the subfolders box in the "Selections (12)" frame at the bottom of the screen. This will scan all the sub-folders inside the sleected folder and then you can apply the other filter/renaming rules to expanded file/folder list.
