wrong filelist

I'm a bit confused. I just opend a path in Bulk >Rename (version 2.7.12) in my win7 pro computer and got files, which are not in the folder.
Eg There is a file 00079.jpg. I jusrt renamed it manually in the explorer to sign1.jpg
I refreshed the files and the tree several times and I also closed BR and started it again. No change. The file, shown in BR is not in the folder anymore.
Is it a bug, or is it not compartible with win7?
