Not displaying hidden folders??

Postby rgardec » Mon Jun 25, 2012 1:48 pm

Hello, I am running the BRU against a server which has many "hidden" folders.
I want to rename the hidden folders, however, the BRU does not return the hidden folders in its display window even with the hidden folder checkbox ticked?
Is this a bug? Does anyone know a way around it?

I am experiencing the same issue. I can navigate to the hidden folder fine with cmd.exe "cd <hidden folder>" but in the BRU browser navigation tree and address bar, BRU refuses to open/see the hidden folder. Even with the hidden Folders in Filter(12) selected.

Looks like BRU by design, can not override Windows' hidden/system attributes on folders and is stuck not able to access them until you manually unhide them with ATTRIB -h -s <folder> command.

Looks to work on my end, Win7.
(A local) Directory is hidden (in the OS, ATTRIB +H).

If I'm understanding,

- the DirectoryTree, does see the hidden directory regardless of 12:Filters, Hidden

- now, if the files therein display or not, does depend on the 12:Filters, Hidden setting

Hmm... I'm (now) thinking that (ages ago), I must have globally disabled hiding of Hidden files (?) - cause Windows Explorer itself still sees the "hidden" directory (& files therein).

So I guess what I'm saying here is for not, so ignore.
