renaming help: reverting the numbered files?

I have a batch of photos named photo001.jpg to photo279.jpg.
I need these files reverted: photo279.jpg needs to be photo001.jpg, photo278.jpg needs to be photo002.jpg, photo277.jpg needs to be photo003.jpg and so on.
Help anyone?

Please for an prober solution provide examples of your real filenames.

Find an common pattern to split the file name into parts 'word' and 'digit'
for examples: all chars are part 1, the following digits are part 2.
Or always the last three digits are the second part. Or 'photo' is always the first part. Or...

I just need them counted in the opposite direction: Image00297.jpg to become Image00001.jpg and so on.

1.) click at the header of the NAME column to sort descending 00297, 00296, 00295,...
2.) remove the last 5 signs, or for your case maybe just remove any digits, or new fix name(2) 'Image',...
3.) assign new serializing: Numbering(10) Prefix, Start 1, Pad 5 --> to get 00001, 00002,...
