Will BRU let me change the format of a set of folder names?

Will BRU enable me to change a bunch of folder names (not file names) by changing the format of the names?

Specifically, I have a set of folders with dates as names and I want to change the format of the folder names. All the folders are in a single outer folder.

At present, they are DD-MM-YYYY. I want to change the format to YYYYMMDD or YYYY-MM-DD or similar, so that they sort into a sensible sequence.

Just to make life more complicated, leading zeros on days and months are omitted but I'd like to include them when renaming.

Out of interest, the folders are produced by Sony PlayMemories Home software which I absolutely hate but have to use. It offers no control over the date format.

Hi, use Selections (12) to process only folder names, and use a regular expression to reformat the dates, see the 'regular expressions' section on this forum there's many examples, thanks

Thanks Admin - got it. I'll download the s/w and have fun setting it up with regular expressions.
