Rename Folder to be same as the filename inside that folder

2 questions:
1.Is there a way to use BRU to rename a folder to be same name as the file inside it? I have close to a 1000 of these kind of folders.
Example:
(folder)Alpha
-- (file)Beta.jpg
to:
(folder)Beta
-- (file)Beta.jpg
2.If above is possible with BRU, is it also possible to do the above but leave a portion of the folders name in tact?
Example:
(folder)Alpha (1960)
-- (file)Beta.jpg
to:
(folder)Beta (1960)
-- (file)Beta.jpg
