Removing only a certain string

Hey there and thanks in advance for any help that can be provided. )

I have about 900 files I need to rename.

They are image files, and have been optimized. The problem is that when they were optimized, the filenames were changed. For example,
"100-dollar-bill-1024x437.jpg" was renamed to
"100-dollar-bill-1024x437@2x.jpg"

I tried using "Remove" 5 in BRU, and chose Chars = @2x, but it didn't work right. So I tried Chars = "@2x". When I did this, the result was "100-dollar-bill-104437.jpg", as it removed the "x" from in between 1024 and 437.

I've done the best I can. May I have some suggestions?

I tried deleting the last 3 characters, and

"100-dollar-bill-1024x437@2x.jpg" got renamed to

"100-dollar-bill-1024x47.jpg"

I'll have to go back to try your other option.

I next tried the #14 option, and
100-dollar-bill-1024x437@2x.jpg

became

100-dollar-bill-1024x4372x.jpg

I tried again to remove the last 3 characters, and this time it appears to have worked. )

I'll recheck it tomorrow, as I'm really tired now, but I wanted to post this so nobody would be bothered trying for a fix.
