Hangs when accessing folders and building directory tree
Posted: Sat Mar 11, 2017 10:50 pmI'm looking for a tool that allows me to regex rename files and folders, so I tried yours besides others.
Now I have the same problem as some other program has and that is, that BRU will hang trying to show the fancy directory tree after I pasted a path into the input box and pressed enter.
I don't need this directory tree and waiting like a minute for it to build is obviously not acceptable. I read in the forum that zips may cause this, but my problem has nothing to do with zips. It's just a subfolder in a folder with only 2k other folders.
Is there anything that can be done to prevent this problem?
Seems to be some underlying API I guess, because RegexRenamer also has this problem and for example WinRar too - pretty annoying.
