I am new to this program. I have around 2000 folders that have a single movie file in it and want to rename the movie file to match the folder name. Can someone help me.

This only changed the folder name. I am trying to keep the folder names and just rename the file to match the folder name.

I don't know how that happened but try this.
(On the menu bar check that "Renaming Options / Ignore / File Extensions" is not selected)

1.
In the folder tree select the parent folder.

2.
Filters (12)
Folders: Not selected
Files: Selected
Subfolders: Selected

3.
Select all the files

4.
Name (2)
Name: Remove

5.
Append Folder Name (9)
Name: Prefix
Levels: 1

6.
Check new names and Rename

Oh, I assumed you were only looking a files, not directories.

In this case I have more then one file in a directory, so I'd run into dup's.
And in my case, I used Everything to find the files, dragging them into BRU rather then setting a BRU 12:Filter to ignore directories.
