That particular (EXIF) issue was asked here, viewtopic.php?p=11587#p11587.
So I guess we can say that part of the issue (the crash) still exists (with "invalid") EXIF dates.

Hi had problems with earlier versions on windows 10 1903 latest service-packs and updates, fresh install and new install of bru 3.2.0.1 still issues.

Installs ok, and launches fine, as soon as i select a directory it freezes and hangs, regardless of the directory or folder.

What can I do to either help troublshoot or do it myself, tried installing and running as admin, no change. on X64 edition of W10 Pro.

Do you have "Subfolders" switched-on in filter (12) ?
What files are in the root? What folders? Does it freeze/crash also if you have "Folders" off in filter (12) ?

thanks

hi yes, NTFS format, nothing special in the root, as it is a non os partition on the internal pcie ssd.

no special characters, just single words, no spaces etc in folder names, language is UK english.

Hi, could you write to support, please? We would like you to download a special debug version which will log info that should help us debug this issue. thank you

Yes, we are having trouble recreating this crash on our machines and the debug version we sent does not log info when crashing, unfortunately. :(

Just for fun I tried it on my D: drive, ticking the Files, Folders and Subfolders boxes on the Filter. Same version of Windows 10 Pro, 1903, and same BRU, 3.2.0.1.
It took several minutes to display the list of files as there were 208,000 of them, but it didn't crash.

I suggest you check the drive is not corrupt. In File Explorer: Click on drive, Properties/Tools/Check.
Also run CrystalDiskInfo to check the drive isn't dying - view the SMART data held in the drive. https://crystalmark.info/en/
