Append Modified Date (8) with copy (13)

Append date works on files and subfolders files. but if I check copy (13) only the files in the root are copied and modified. the subfolder files are not copies. Subfolders are copied

What happens if you select Subfolders in 12:Filters ?
(I don't know the answer, so test gingerly.)

Under (12) files and subfolders are checked. Not folders. But, I have tried checking folders under (12). same results
