Can't Install -- "insufficient space"

I tried install to BRU on a new Dell Core2 Duo running Vista Ultimate, partitioned so that c: drive has 250 gig. There's still about 120 gig free.
But when I try to install BRU I get the message that there is insufficient disk space . . .
I have UAC turned off, also I have DEP killed as well.
Anybody got any ideas?
