As you know, there is an option in this software (Logical sorting) that allows you to sort your files with or without the Windows default Windows sort sequence (i'm quoting the software help here) and I have 999 files sorted with a suffix such as file-1.txt, file-2.txt, file-9.txt, file-52.txt ... until file-999.txt
The windows
logical sort sequence will sort my files in this order : 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,...,998,999 (when
"Logical sorting" is checked)
In the opposite, the
absolute sorting sequence will sort my files in this order : 1, 10, 100, 101, 102,..., 109, 11, 110, 111, 112,..., 119, 12, 120, 121, 122 ... until 999 (when
"Logical sorting" is unchecked), you get it.
So I was wondering, since it's possible to sort files with an absolute sort sequence, to
RENAME them with an absolute sort sequence, using the numbering option available in the software...
Basically, I want to sort them with the logical sort sequence, and rename them with an "absolute sort sequence" (quite difficult to put words on it, so I was giving an example)
Example :
