Dragging Directory Into BRU is More Efficient then Files

Dragging a Directory Into BRU is *much* More Efficient then dragging the same set of Files from within that directory into BRU.
I have a NAS & dragging a directory of 469 files, \\Nas\DOCS\, occurs in seconds.
Highlighting those 469 files & dragging the same into BRU takes *minutes*.
(Similar results with local files/directories.
Running XP, presently.)
