Crashes on select desktop

Windows 10 w/ latest 64bit BRU. If I select 'Desktop' from the left windows navigator it instantly crashes 100% of the time.

If I navigate to certain folders it crashes (not sure the offending attribute — size, file type, what have you).

Drag and drop does not work (no error, fails silently).

I also got this error on install and have tried multiple times having uninstalled and rm -rf the folder.

What version of 10?

When you installed, did you install while you were 'Run As Administrator'?
Likewise, are you now running using a "regular" user account?

Or was BRU installed by a different user & for whatever reason, you (your user login) does not have sufficient permissions to access /program files/bulk rename utility/ ?

Or are you running BRU "As Administrator"?

A mix and match between user levels (say normal) & program level (say As Admin) will cause drag & drop issues.

Windows 10 Pro v1903

Installed as Admin.

I'm the only person on this machine and for whatever reason I was set as a Standard User. Changing that and running BRU NOT as Admin and drag and drop works now.

However, when I click Desktop, Documents, Music (I'm guessing big, multi-level folders) in the side nav, insta-crash. If I click the plus sign and navigate down to a smaller folder, it does not crash.

Is it really a crash, or does BRU freeze ?

In case it´s a freeze please have a look at my own thread

It crashes on "Music" itself but not the subfolders? Are there files in Music that could cause this? thanks
