Import Rename Pairs gives"File does not contain valid lines"

I must be doing something wrong, but i cant seem to find what.
as instructed i created a .txt file with the correct syntax (example: room.jpg|Testname.jpg) and saved it. when i try to import the file i only get the error message "File does not contain valid lines", while this is literally the only thing that is in it.

Am i reading the instructions wrong? or am i making a mistake i dont see somewhere?

Are you sure that your "text" file is a .txt file & not something like a .txt.doc (where a .doc is not [actually] "text")?

The file(s), room.jpg is displaying in your file list?
(If not, you have to point to it or drag it in.)
And you have actually highlighted the file(s), room.jpg?

I will visualise it a bit more with some pictures. As you can see it really is a .txt, and the image is selected. I tried it with a | or a , and with or without spaces in between :(

(I'll note that BRU 3.3.1.0 is out.)

All looks good from what I'm seeing.

Close BRU.
Open BRU, but don't point to nor select any files (IOW, the file list is empty).

'Actions | Import Rename-Pairs -> Import Rename-Pairs' & select rmarename.txt.
Does it "open", aka load, i.e., an (orange) "badge" at the bottom of the BRU window will show, "Rename Pairs Imported"?

(ANSI or Unicode, & EOL or not, seems not to matter.)
