Is the date taken shown in the File Properties by Windows?

See:
viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1998

BRU might support it via Windows File Properties.

The correct date is that one 1/03/2019

None of those Auto Date (8) things worked, they were all current 2020 dates

Any ideas?

So the 2 columns that seem corrects are:

System.ItemDate
System.Photo.DateTaken

The correct date is 01.03.2019 - 7:07pm

You can use those to rename the HEIC files:

viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1998

Using Autodate (8) doesn't work, it grabs the wrong dates still

Can't there just be a function that uses the System.Photo.DateTaken date?

This has been added to BRU version 3.4.0.0
There is a new date called "Item Date" which is the creation date for HEIC, MOV, video and all media in general, also JPG.
"Item Date" is both a column in the file list, that can be used for sorting, and a new entry in AutoDate (8).

Awesome, is there a possibility of getting the feature of copying the the new Item Date value to Created, Modified & Accessed? And vice versa

That way the Modified Date can reflect the true creation date for the file and be easily read in Windows Explorer

HEIC have a tendency to have massive loading times in win10

Is there any chance to get seconds in the "Item Date"? In ExifTool I can see they are present. I've read in the Help that this is a feature for pre-1970 dates but I've never seen images with (correct) dates of before 1970 8)

I would like to join this request to add the seconds to the time stamp in the "Item Date" column.

currently it puts zeros in the place of seconds.
the data should be available.
Thanks

Unfortunately this comes from Windows itself, BRU is taking the info from there.
If you go into file properties in Windows you will see that the seconds are removed. Not sure why....
