BRU is great great soft, I love it, but little question about this, need help, thanks all first.

I have more 100000+ folders, each folders have more 1000+ images include.

So, how to do it, can bulk make each folders images rename by jpg0001.jpg to jpg9999.jpg ???

I'm currnelty use FastStone Photo Resizer rename, it seems slowly. I'm sure BRU running more fast, but I dont know how to setup that.

Please give some advice

thanks again

So you just want the existing (jpg) file names, in each directory, renamed as jpg0001...jpg9999.

2:Name -> Remove
12:Filters -> Mask *.jpg, Files + Subfolders
7:Add -> Prefix, jpg
10:Numbering -> Mode: Suffix, Pad:4, & (checkmark) the Folder option

Set the top of your directory tree, & see if that covers it.

Dear therube,

Thanks your reply, I just try that, it seems not work.

It's issue is I have more 100,000,000 jpg need rename. Once I setup, the scripts running to search each folers, since too many files, the BRU dead at last :(

Is that correct, 100 million?

PS: If you're testing, you certainly want to test on a very, very, very, small subset of those file - like, say, a dozen of them ;-). (Then expand as you test further...)

Maybe try to work with a smaller set of files each time, e.g. deal with subfolders
