Bulk Rename Utility

HELP!?

I have a project and I am trying to determine if BRU is the appropriate tool.

Situation:
I have 2 large music collections, each with a different folder structure.

Collection A: Uses a 2-level folder hierarchy:
Artist> Album> Song Files
This is the DESIRED folder structure.


Collection B: Uses a 1-level folder hierarchy:
Albums> Song Files
The album folders use a consistent naming convention so Artist names is part of the Album folder name: [Artist] - [Album]
So, folders look like this:

ACDC - Back In Black
ACDC - Let There Be Rock
Action Bronson - Blue Chips 7000
Aerosmith - Toys In The Attic
Agustus Pablo - King Tubbys Meets Rockers Uptown


So, it would seem that I need a script to do the following...
1. looks at all folders
2. strips out everything before the hyphen
3. creates a folder with that text
4. deleted the hyphen and extra spaces
5. puts the contents of the original folder into the newly created folder
6. [BONUS] Consolidate newly created Album subfolders into common Artist folders


Can BRU help me with this?

Greetings. To rename BAD "\Artist - Album\" to DESIRED "\Artist\Album\" is easy, but Im not understand about everything. First you must need to change the setting in "Renaming Options", then "Advanced Options", and then to choose "Allow Using '\' in Renaming Criteria". Then in the Filters(12) you checkmark only in "Folders". Then in the Replace(3), the Replace is " - " and With is "\"

If then to conduct rename, "\Artist - Album\" goes to "\Artist\Album\" and song files go inside \Album\. Sorry, Im not understand the [BONUS], so maybe its good idea to not conduct yet?

As for step 6 in my original post ("Bonus")....

I have no experience with BRU. So, my understanding may be incomplete. But, if I run the operation you suggest, I *think* it would accomplish steps 1-5 in my original post....

FOLDERS BEFORE OPERATION:
ACDC - Back In Black
ACDC - Let There Be Rock
ACDC - Highway to Hell

FOLDERS AFTER OPERATION:
ACDC\Back In Black
ACDC\Let There Be Rock
ACDC\Highway to Hell
...BUT, because Windows would not allow more than 1 folder with same name, so it might want to do...
ACDC\Back In Black
ACDC(1)\Let There Be Rock
ACDC(2)\Highway to Hell

Step 6 in my request (I refer to this as a "Bonus" step) would be to consolidate all of the albums into a SINGLE folder for each Artist...
ACDC\
\Back In Black
\Let There Be Rock
\Highway to Hell

(not sure if I notated that correctly)

C:\Users\Luuk\Music\ACDC - Back In Black\
C:\Users\Luuk\Music\ACDC - Let There Be Rock\

So the [BONUS] will also conduct! There is not to worry about inventing names like ACDC(1). But if to have different BAD paths like...
C:\Users\Luuk\Music\ACDC - Back In Black\
C:\Music\ACDC - Let There Be Rock\
C:\MyMusic\ACDC - Highway to Hell\

Then [BONUS] would not conduct, and needs to have more advanced settings to settle the folders in only one location.
