Renaming truncaats at 67th character.

Original filename:
BSL Greetings & Basic Communication Quick Quiz 8 Lisa Mills Online.mp4

After only applying:

Auto Date(8)
Mode: Prefix
Type: Creation (Curr.)
Fmt: Custom
Custom: %H%M%S
Cent: [Not selected]
Off.: 0

Result was:
111634 BSL Greetings & Basic Communication Quick Quiz 8 Lisa Mills .mp4

What's happened is that the one filter has correctly prefixed 6 characters to filename, but also erases the last same-number-of-characters off the end of the filename, yet retains the file extension.

Using BRU 2.4.1.0.
No options were set that would have resulted in the loss of characters at the end of the file name.

File is on a NAS and a mapped drive letter. (Not a UNC path)

Samba version baked-in on NAS is version 4.3.11.

(unable to confirm on my end, BRU 3.2.0.1 [so current certainly could be different], testing on local disk, XP)

Actually, scratch this fault report. There is a possibility the issue is NOT BRU but the program that created the MP4 files.

I request that this thread is erased from this this forum while I investigate if it is BRU then I'll start another thread.

I apologise if I've wasted anyone's time.
