Bulk Rename Utility

Hi there,

I am using BRU 3.4.3.0 (64-bit, Windows 10 20H2 19042).

When renaming large files on network shares, BRU seems to make a copy of the file with the new name, and then freezes. I copied the same file on my desktop and performed a rename using the same settings, and it worked immediately.

Hi, what type of network share is it?
Can you rename that same file using Ren from command line?

Ah, that's it. Thanks for the prompt response.

It is an NFS share mounted on Windows. I disabled the NFS share from my nas and mounted it as SMB and it worked immediately.

I assume that NFS is not supported (well) in BRU.

Hi, BRU renames files via the Windows API, if the Windows API does not work properly, then BRU also will not.
