Select/Deselect Issue?

In specific instances, I noticed a different selected file will deselect itself when you deselect a selected file. The similar behavior occurs when you reselect the same file.

1. Create a temporary fold and add 5 files.
2. CTRL+A to select all files.
3. Hold down CTRL and click on the first file to deselect it. Note the 5th file will also deselect itself but still remain highlighted; the new name reverts back to the original name.
4. Hold down CTRL and click on the first file to reselect it. The 5th file does the same.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the rest of the files. Note the unprompted behavior now occurs to the last file that you deselected and reselected.

Can someone verify this behavior or do I have to cut back on the alcohol and hookers? I checked and was unable to find if this issue has been already reported. If so, opps and sorry.
