BRU view totally changed-- lost all functionality? help

Been using this great utility for years. Somehow the view totally changed and I lost all the search fields.

Wish I could post a screenshot but I don't see a way here.

I have a similar experience running BRU for years and suddenly in December 2023 it has become unreliable.

Currently the app no longer runs either from starting on a standalone basis or from selecting files in explorer with context menu entry. In task manager there are no running instances either to review.

I have tried reinstallation it works once then same as above. Portable version does not fire up either.

Not sure where to look but does seem as if an MS Windows update has had some influence.

I am running Windows 11 version 23H2
