Renamed files not being renamed

Good day,

I am using the latest version of Win10 and BRU 4.0.0.2.

I have added a "Seconds" suffix to the file name of several photos. The file name does "not" change in the Win10 File Explorer listing or other apps that access files eg. to open. F5 Refreshes BRU but seems to have no effect on Win File Explorer. When I restart BRU the file as modified appears in the Name Column. Restarting Windows has no effect. I have "unset read-only, disable indexing" in the properties of the folder that these files are in all to no effect.

_Z807116_20241007 0111.nef renamed to _Z807116_20241007 0111-22.nef

Using Win10 File Explorer, I made a copy of the file and put it in the same folder but the copied file is not listed in BRU but is listed in other apps.
_Z807116_20241007 0111.nef copied as _Z807116_20241007 0111 - Copy.nef

What am I missing?

Hi Cal, thank you for posting on the forum. What type of drive is this, where you are renaming the files using BRU?

I'm feeling a like a bit of an idiot! I was renaming the files in my working directory and checking the results with File Explorer on my back up directory on a different drive. All's good.
