BRU crashing

I have a list of ca 875 subfolders and was trying to make a long list of all the files within a subset of them ca 60, each with 4 files.
I went to #12 and ticked files and subfolders.
The main window showed scanning, ESC to cancel. After a few minutes, I pressed ESC. No response.
I pressed the top right x and BRU closed.
I then clicked the BRU desktop icon. Then the BRU application entry in its folder. Then right click Open.
It didn't start.
I have restarted the computer, started BRU by clicking the desktop icon. Then went through the same procedure, with the same result.
It looks as though BRU is protesting that it is just too hard work, so is taking his toys home.
What have I done to upset it?

Hi, that's not many files/folders for BRU at all, there must be a specific file or folder causing this issue. Do you have extract File Properties or EXIF info enabled?
If you untick "subfolders" in BRU and then kind of test separate sections of the directory structure, are you able to identify where the issue might be?
