Application freezes or crashes when selecting a file – versi

Hello,

I am using Bulk Rename Utility version 4.0.0.8 on Windows 11 Pro 64-bit. After launching the application, it closes unexpectedly whenever I select a file in the file list.

After some testing, I discovered that disabling the Auto Refresh feature under the View menu prevents the issue. It seems the problem may be related to folders with many files or those synced with cloud services - OneDrive.

What renaming criteria have you set?

Do you have any of these options set:

ID3 / Exif Data / File Properties > Extract Exif Data
Use this option to control whether or not EXIF tags will be extracted from photographs. At present only Date Taken, Aperture, Exposure, Focal Length, Exposure Compensation, Comments, Camera Model and Camera Make are extracted, but even this can slow down the processing. If you don't need these fields then leave this option unchecked to speed up the processing. Only files with the following extensions are processed: .JPG, .JPEG, .TIF, .TIFF, .CRW, .CR2, .NEF.
