Check to make sure you are downloading an "x64" version. Check the digital signature, too, to make sure no one (including me) has tampered with the installer.
Thanks so much! I've just downloaded 2.7.1.3 (which I think was the last version I used before v.3). Here's a screenshot of it running on my notebook:
...and here's one of v.3:
As you can see, v2 has literally
twice as much space to see files and folders.
Don't get me wrong—I'm a long-time BRU fan (like, years). But in comparison to v2, I'm afraid I find v3 practically unusable.
Was it really necessary to add a separate title bar below the window's existing one? And an address bar, which we did fine without for so long (with the file "tree" at the left, and the great Ctrl+J "jump" command)?
And adding move/copy functions, as though BRU were now a file manager? And what does "Move/Copy Parts" even mean?
I'm sure some people find the new functions useful. If they were collapsible, though, we could regain some file-list real estate and actually see the stuff we want to work on. :?|
Anyway, OV, thanks again for your trouble. Sometimes, clearly, "less is more". Cheers, A.
