UI Scaling Issue

Postby ABtheTechie » Wed Apr 15, 2020 9:51 am

I'm am on Windows 10 Home 1909 using a 1920x1080p screen with 100% scaling and my UI currently looks like this https://imgur.com/a/BSO8QzL

I was using version 3.0.0.1 before and the Bulk Rename Utility banner was not there at the bottom right before. I don't like how it pushes all of the actual functional UI to the left for no reason.

I was wondering if this is a bug or the intended look of the UI. If it is a bug how I could possibly fix the issue since I don't see anyone else mentioning the issue so I assume the problem is on my side. If it is the intended look then please make the banner a bit more sensible in its size or move it to a spot where it's not ruining the usability of the software.

Thanks

Thanks for the response

I tried this.

The result in making the font as large as possible still has quite a bit of unused space on the right side with the rest of the workspace being pretty unusable since there is little space left https://imgur.com/ub3kNcf

When I made the font smaller the unused space just expanded making the problem worse https://imgur.com/Co5IHUn

For reference, this is what v.3.0.0.1 UI looked like which I think was the best looking and most logical UI design so far. https://imgur.com/WEEublj

I think there is enough space to put the logo between the "rename, reset, reset preview buttons and the version information button. (indicated crudely in red). https://imgur.com/nKoVt2c

I really like the preview button that was added in the new versions so I would very much like to use the updated version and its features but the UI is really messing with me.

I know this in the grand scheme of things is a pretty minor issue but it affects the user experience (for me at least) so much that I think it is worth tweaking.

I consider this to be a hindrance in terms of usability.
Why couldn't something like this mock-up I did work?

Yeah, this is what I was alluding to with my last post with the red box cause it's plenty big enough for the name and title to be visible, and the buttons would be in the right spot with my screen real estate being used well.

I had assumed that this was a bug but if this is the intended behaviour it's quite a boneheaded move to but I really can't imagine this being the intended behaviour.
