REMOVE (5) M -> [Before] or [AFTER] = RE or OVE

Instead of entering code, could there be a simple added feature in Remove (5)
Character or Words do the same thing however in Example 1:

You have a file name & you look in Remove (5).jpg
Character OR Words: &
[Before]
You have a file name.jpg
[After]
you look in Remove (5)

Example 2:
You have a file name & you look in Remove (5).jpg *HIGHLIGHTED GREEN*
You have a file name & you look in Remove (5) & there's more than one & in a sentence.jpg *HIGHLIGHTED RED*

The GREEN highlighted one will be changed, the RED Highlighted one will stay the same.
