Apologies, Newbie here - Can see folder but no files on NAS

Hiya Newbie here, downloaded BRU yesterday and loved it. But now I have encountered a problem.
I am trying to use BRU on a NETGEAR NAS, mapped to the PC. I can see the folders but not the files, the folders appears empty, "no files found".
Of course the NAS is using linux which is using ext4. Is that the reason? Any workaround?
Mmmm. I also have 2 ZIMA boxes ( which run linux), but CASAOS1 has disks formatted to ext4, while CASAOS2 has disks formatted to NTFS. And CASAOS1 shows the same behaviour, I can see all the folders structure, but no files.
So I answered myself somewhat... but just in case, any workaround to this? (and I know that there is no BRU for linux)
