Can’t figure out how to rename xxx.jpg.jpeg to plain xxx.jpg

Postby harryg123 » Wed Aug 04, 2010 9:42 am

For some reason Firefox has started appending .jpeg to all .jpg files that I save. (f you know how to fix this I’d be grateful)

So I have a directory full of saved images
aaa.jpg.jpeg
bbb.jpg.jpeg
...
xxx.jpg.jpeg

I’d like to rename them all to plain *.jpg, but can’t figure out how to do it.

What do I put in the the search and replace fields to accomplish this?

Thanks

Never mind. Just figured out how to do it from the dos prompt:
rename *.jpeg *.

Sorry for the bother
