Copy "Date Taken" to "Date Created" in EXIF

I have a number of photos that have incorrect dates in the Date Created field, but the Date Taken is correct. Lightroom 3 seems to read the former rather than the latter. I can, of course change all the Dates in BRE, however, I cannot deal with the timestamp except individually. The ability to just replace the information in the Date Created information with what is in the Date Taken would be an ideal solution. There is a field entitled "Taken (Original)" in BRE, but nothing shows up in it. Any possibility?

Why doesn't BRE list the information in the "Taken (Original)" field? Is this, in fact, the "Date Taken" field shown in Windows Explorer?
