Rename folder based on number of characters

Postby Emmanuel » Thu Aug 16, 2007 12:03 pm

Hi,

I would like to know if it is possible to use the BRC32 (command line tool) to rename folders/subfolders based on the number of character of their name.

I explain :
We have folders with 2 different types of pad. One w/ 5 digits and others with 8 digits.
We only need to rename 8 digits folders using /REMOVEFIRSTN:4 parameter.

Thanks
Emmanuel

Hi,

Not as it stands. Bulk Rename Utility offers this, but not Bulk Rename Command.

I'll see if I can add this functionality later today.

Where you able to add this feature? To re-name based on # of characters? I want to rename a series of files all to match less than 255 charachers in file path name.

Thank you
