Removing '&' in folder names for WinZip compatibility

Hi,
I want to zip up a large set of folders / sub-folders. Many of the folder names contain ampersands (&) which Windows 10 compression does not allow in folder names. So I need the Match and Replace syntax for the Bulk Rename Utility to be able to replace all ampersands with 'and' across and down all levels of sub-folders. Under filters, I have removed the check box for Files and checked the boxes for Folders and Sub-Folders. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

[RESOLVED]
Hi,
Never mind. I was able to copy the files over to my NAS without ZIPing them up. Thanks anyway.

WinZip or whatever Win10 provides?

In Win7, I can (Win7) zip up "c:\tmp\x & y\" without issue. Are you saying Win10 cannot?

The only thing I see with WinZip deals with command-line, Delimiters, spaces, and special characters?

Anyhow (& yes I understand you've resolved your issue) the easiest way, IMO, to find directory names containing & is to use Everything.

Do a search:
Code: Select all
folder:  &

Then drag the found directories into BRU.

And you can always filter things further if needed:
Code: Select all
folder: & /tmp/

Code: Select all
C:\TMP\BRU\exif - iptc metadata\x & y
C:\TMP\SEA\gmp-at&t
H:\XP43_C\TMP\sea\fnmsetup_32 (partition find & mount-free)
