Loading saved favourites doesn't work

I have saved my required update parameters in a file, and when I open this file all of the favourites appear correctly. However the displayed new file name only follows 2 of the parameters - it removes the original file name, and it appends a 4 digit sequence number.

But it ignores the parameters to insert the image taken date, and the camera model.

If I add a new thing, eg insert a dash, that appears in the renamed file name. But if I re-type eg insert the model name (%mo) the modekl name still doesn't appear.
I have searched the forum and can't find this problem anywhere, so I assume oit must be me, but I am baffled.

.. further to this, I just tried re-creating my rename from scratch. It extracts the date taken from exif quite happily, but it refuses to extract camera make or model (or aperture etc).
Really baffled now, as this worked perfectly yesterday!

OK, the problem is that it only lifts the camera model from JPG, not RAW.
Yesterday I updated some already processed images (JPGs); today I wanted to import new RAW files from camera and rename on the way.

Checked saved favourites with another JPG folder and it was fine.

So, do I need to do something extra to lift EXIF data (specifically camera model) from RAW images?

I want to do this because I am moving from ON1 Photo Raw (which had import/rename built in) to DxO Photolab, which doesn't have any import features.

Ah, OK, looks like it doesn't work with RAW. Shame.

Hi, in version 4 you can "link files by extension" (JPG->RAW) so that if you rename a JPG, then the RAW file with the same name is renamed in the same way.
