Scanning level

In Filters (12), I set the lvl field to =1 but it still scanned every level below that. I was hoping the scan would be quick with the level set to 1 but it took the same amount of time.

I was using a RegEx filter with folders and subfolders ticked.

It might still scan sublevels if the RegEx filter is applied to folders and subfolders. Have you tried disabling the subfolder option to see if the level limit is respected?
