Apple iPhone PNG Files... a bit of a puzzle

Working with the AI for a couple of hours, even using the mediainfo.dll is always shows as today's date. Now I know Apple has a unique format in the PNG and MP4, but what you end up getting is something like 2999-today's month-today's day.

Has anyone figured out a reliable method of getting the date taken from PNG and MP4 files?
