Rename Directory

How would I rename part of a directory and leave the subdirectory and files intact.

For example
Old c:\ron1\photos\alabama.jpg
New c:\r01leo\photos\alabama.jpg

I have a lot of these and need the structure for the text file.

After that ... ?

Is it always going to be the first character of old followed by "0" followed by the last digit of old followed by "eo", or ... ?
