Highlight of rename chars causes cropping

Postby therube » Mon Oct 07, 2024 4:39 pm

Highlighting of the matching / rename chars causes cropping of the character text making it difficult to decipher.
Tried (increasing) text size, but still the issue remained.

"melinda", kind of looks like "rr el..."
"Coulson", kind of looks like "Cou son"

Win7 x64, BRU x86, Intel HD Graphics 4000 (on CPU)

Hi, thank you, yes, you are right! we will look into this. For now, if you want, you can disable it using Ctrl-H to turn on / off. There are also other options in Display Options -> List.

Hi, we can't seem to recreate this issue so I was wondering if you could send more info please. 8)
We are also testing on Windows 7.

Regarding to the file 3 melinda.jpg

If you switch on/off the highlight with Ctrl+H, do the characters in the name "move" in the right position / distance?
What if you enable Highlight Name Changes -> Use Bold or use Strike-through?
Do you have a specific font installed?

For 3 melinda.jpg it looks like "eli" is drawn over the m when highlighting

thank you!

Seems I was using Rename Pairs.

If I disable highlighting, the characters do not "move", they simply display correctly.

> 1. Bold

Helps.

> 2. Strike-through

Makes New Name worse.

Win7 (though I wouldn't think it to have any bearing)
Intel HD Graphics 4000 (onboard in the CPU)
1600x900 resolution (looks like 1920x1080 is native resolution)

No zooming or scaling or anything like that, or anything else out of the ordinary for that matter.

Sample files, Rename Pairs...,https://www.upload.ee/files/17409553/BRU-highlighting.zip.html

Rename Pairs might be integral to seeing the issue, not sure?
