Novice: where to begin?

Hi All
Where is the tutorial?
I just want to renumber jpegs in a file 001 to 700.
Not to sure where to begin now I have downloaded the programme

2:File -> Remove
10:Numbering -> Prefix, Pad 3

For someone who is not computer literate I've got as far as:
Bringing my file to the big box. I see my jpegs are in reverse order
In "numbering 10" I've added Start=1, Pad=3, increment=1
Please, what do I do next?

Hi,
You need to select the files you want renamed, Double check the new names are ok, 2nd collum. Then hit rename button..

I've heighlighted all the files with Ctrl 'A' after putting them in 'order' with the blue triangle pointing up.
The box "numbering 10" has an orange heiglight around it if I tick boxes. Should that happen?
Not sure what I do next. Hitting "Rename" does nothing.
I'm missing smthng.
