Listed below are the installation files for the software. The software is packaged using Tarma Installer. This makes the software as portable and compact as possible, making for a very small download.

Please note that this website is hosted on an ADSL link. Whilst performance should be adequate , large files do make a dent in my bandwidth. To help to prevent this, the actual binaries are hosted on a different server. If you manually configure your firewall to only accept software from certain domains you will need to add www.missingbytes.net to this list.

If you download the "no-installer" version then you won't benefit from the "Bulk Rename" context-menu, nor will *.BRU files be associated with the application. However, you will have a fully working program which can be run from a write-protected disc, or on a computer where you have no installation privileges.

The hosting for the downloads on this site is being provided very generously by the nice people at www.missingbytes.net. Without their help, I'd be stuck :-(

Installation Notes

Installation of the software is easy. The installer ensures that you are presented with a consistent and friendly user interface, and you can just follow the prompts.

If you have used a previous version of the software, prior to version 2.3.0.0, then you should uninstall it before installing the new version. This is because version 2.3.0.0 and later uses a new installer technology. Future versions will upgrade your installation, provided you have version 2.3.0.0 or later installed.

Please note that Vista's enhanced security (UAC, otherwise known as a "productivity inhibitor") prevents you running the regsvr32 command unless you run it as Administrator.
