Character Translations doesn't work properly

Postby noisywan » Fri Jul 05, 2024 11:30 am

I'm using the table below to replace characters;

?=G
Ü=U
?=S
?=I
Ö=O
Ç=C
?=g
ü=u
?=s
ö=o
ç=c
?=i

"Ö" and "?" don't translate while other letters do.

Is there any fix for that?

I couldn't edit the OP because there is no edit button. (or I couldn't fint it) so here is the EDIT:

EDIT:
It appears the board also doesn't support some of the chars so they appeared as `?`.

The screenshot between img brackets also appeared dead so here is the link again without any brackets;

Ebru Günde?, ugh!
Bar?? Manço is more my style ;-).
(Heh, the board kind of butchered that name, didn't it.)

On my end, Win7, en-US, it looks to be working.
Maybe (& I'm talking out my butt) the "code-page" / locale you're using?

Not my playlist :) (Thank god!) It's the pop radio I work at.

Yes it could be about local code pages. The Ö letter that was used in that filename was not the one ascii (165) but some weird code like U+(some hexadecimal values).
I remember the days we used to have 255 characters only. Peaceful times with CPC464 and Commodore 64s.
