Filters (12) Filter for jpgs in specific folder level

Postby LeoL30 » Fri Jun 20, 2025 11:26 am

I have this folder structure:

E:\0Complete\000 DOWNLOADS\000 UNZIP RAR\Feelies - Only Life\art\

I'd like to be able to find all jpg files in the last folder for all the albums that have the extra folder with the jpg files. The folders may have different names eg \covers\, \artwork\, \scans\ etc although I'm hoping its the level of the folder that can used to filter the jpg files.

I've tried Filters (12) using Mask *.jpg with many combinations of Folder, Files, Subfolder, Lvl, Path Min and Path Max but haven't managed to get the right combination to only show the jpgs stored in the last folder.

Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance, for any advice that is forthcoming. Cheers

Thanks for the help.

These are the results I'm getting:
Mask *.jpg with Folders Files Subfolders all ticked
with Lvl 0 I get 31 results which is the total number of JPGs
with Lvl 1 I get 26 results which is the total number of JPGs at Level 2
with Lvl 2 I get 31 results!!!
I was expecting to see 5 results as there are 5 jpgs at Level 2

Lvl - Recursively scan up to this subfolder level. You can also limit subfolder inclusion using comparison operators: <=, < (e.g., <=3, <3), >, >= (e.g., >0, >=5), and = (e.g., =3). For example, to include all subfolders with files but exclude files in the root folder, use >0. To include only files and subfolders at level 2, use =2. To include all files and subfolders up to level 3, use either 3 or <=3

Thanks for the help/info.

To include only files and subfolders at level 2, use =2

This seems so simple but when I have tried this it returns the total number of jpgs rather than the 5 jpgs which are stored at level 2.

As the Lvl box will only accept one character where do I type the comparison operators e.g. <=3

lvl set to 2 will include all levels up to 2 (so also level 0 and 1). It is the same as using <=2.
lvl set to =2 will include only level 2 (so not 0 and 1, 3, 4, etc)
lvl set to <2 will include only level lower than 2 (so 0 and 1, not 2).

You can type multiple characters in the lvl field, but you will need the latest version.

Thank you for your explanation. Using the latest version with "=2" has worked. I should have taken more notice of the word recursively.

Once again thanks for your help, much appreciated. Cheers.
